Extended reality (XR) company Xreal has unveiled Project Aura, its next-generation XR device, at the Google I/O developer conference as part of a partnership with Google.
Project Aura sets a new standard for immersive, wearable computing on the Android XR platform, offering a large field of view and marking the introduction of an optical see-through (OST) XR device.
The collaboration with Google includes involvement from Qualcomm, which is supplying the Snapdragon XR chipsets for the device.
Further details on Project Aura will be announced at the Augmented World Expo (AWE) in June and later in the year, with a call issued to developers to start envisioning new applications for the technology.
