Summary
On April 3rd, 2025, Activision is relaunching the original Call of Duty: Warzone map, Verdansk, almost five years after it was first released.
Players who dropped into the map on March 10th, 2020, will receive a number of rewards, such as the iconic Kilo 141 Assault Rifle and two limited edition operators, DOMINO and Mile-Sim USEF.
There will also be a limited-time event called “Return to Verdansk” where players can explore 12 different zones on the map and earn exclusive rewards like weapons blueprints and operator skins.
In addition to the standard Battle Royale mode, Activision is also introducing a new casual Battle Royale mode that will feature up to 28 players and 120 AI bots.
There will also be a ranked Battle Royale mode coming later in the season.
Other features include Plunder mode, the return of the Gulag, and a new AI combatant type.
This announcement comes shortly after Activision revealed that Warzone would be officially sunsetting baseline support for Mixed Reality headsets.
