Nvidia has unveiled a new Omniverse Blueprint offering for Earth-2 weather analytics to enhance the precision of weather forecasting.
The Earth-2 platform simulates and forecasts the effects of climate change and allows developers to build solutions that can warn of impending weather hazards.
It also creates a digital twin of the planet, enabling the simulation and visualisation of global climate simulations at exceptional speed and scale, claiming to be 1,000 times faster than traditional models.
The company’s CorrDiff model is 500 times faster and 10,000 times more energy-efficient than CPU-driven modelling.
Industry-leading climate tech firms, including AI company G42, JBA Risk Management, Spire and others, are using the blueprint to develop their offerings.
