Altera launches Agilex 3 FPGAs for the intelligent edge
1 min read
Summary
Altera has released Agilex FPGA 3 chips to expand the boundaries of the intelligent edge with reprogrammable hardware to boost AI functions in robotics, medical equipment, and factory automation systems.
The Agilex 3 is 1.9 times more fabric performant and 38% more power efficient than its previous iterations.
It joins the high-performance Agilex 7 and 9 chips, mid-range Agilex 5, and is designed for cost- and power-constrained applications.
The chips can be programmed to enable machine learning and are designed to integrate with TensorFlow, PyTorch and OpenVINO as well as Quartus programming software.
