Backend game engine Pragma levels up player engagement tracking with FirstLook acquisition

Summary
Game engine Pragma has acquired FirstLook, a platform used to drive and track player engagement during testing phases of a game’s development.
The acquisition will allow developers to access player feedback during early access or beta periods and build fan communities from the ground up.
FirstLook also negates the need for additional third-party tools such as Steam to gain user feedback.
“Bringing FirstLook into the Pragma ecosystem means studios no longer need to piece together fragmented solutions to engage with their players,” said Pragma CEO Eden Chen.
The integration of the two platforms began in December 2022, with Square Enix and People Can Fly among the first users.
