Summary
Real-time streaming data will become increasingly valuable and important for companies, with the volume of data exploding, making it hard for firms to analyse it in real-time.
The New York Stock Exchange has partnered with Redpanda, who use Apache Kafka streaming technology to move its financial market data to the AWS cloud, to enhance its real-time data offerings to its customers.
Using Redpanda’s C++-based streaming platform, the NYSE can now analyse data in a more flexible and quicker manner, with Vinil Bhandari, head of cloud and full-stack engineering at NYSE, saying it is 4-5x faster in its data delivery when compared to competitors.
The success of the platform has highlighted the importance of data streaming for AI applications, such as agent coordination, and the need for organisations to have an efficient, cloud-based data strategy in place for the future.
