Summary
Advertising solutions company Anzu has received an undisclosed investment amount from Amex Ventures to accelerate its mission to offer intrinsic in-game advertising to premium companies.
Existing investors of the company include PayPal Ventures, WPP, Emmis Corporation and NBC Universal.
The investment will help to scale intrinsic ads in games and offer measurable data, building on Anzu’s partnership with Claritas and its participation in a survey about the effects of in-game advertising.
The company aims to allow brands to reach consumers within games they are passionate about through natural and non-disruptive advertising.
Amex Ventures MD Margaret Lim said gaming was now mainstream and brands were awakening to the opportunity that in-game advertising presented.
