Summary
San Francisco-based AI start-up Outset has raised $17m in a Series A funding round to scale its AI-moderated research platform among Fortune 500 companies.
Its platform conducts video interviews with research participants at an “unprecedented scale and speed” and is currently used by companies including Nestlé, Microsoft and WeightWatchers as an AI-powered alternative to traditional market research.
The technology can administer and analyse research projects in less than a week, compared to the weeks or months currently taken by traditional methods, and at a tenth of the cost.
The start-up’s focus now lies in expanding its go-to-market team and refining its AI agents.
