Asset sprawl, siloed data and CloudQuery’s search for unified cloud governance

Summary
CloudQuery has secured $16m in a funding round led by Partech to scale its approach to cloud visibility.
Existing tools are siloed, making it hard to get a unified view across different cloud domains, said CloudQuery founder Yevgeny Pats.
CloudQuery uses data warehouse ClickHouse and the Apache Arrow framework to structure data and offer analytics on cloud assets.
The platform connects to APIs including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform to collate configuration, security and cost metadata, offering a high refresh frequency for reliable, up-to-date information.
SQL engine and built-in reports allow teams flexibility and Rodini Analytics, a financial analytics vendor, achieved a 90% reduction in cloud spending.
CloudQuery is also working with large language models to generate SQL queries and offer natural language querying and recommendations.
