The Apple Games app on Mac, iPad and iPhone: A deep dive into its discovery potential

Summary
Apple has unveiled its new Apple Games app, which will be pre-installed with the new MacOS update, MacOS 26, and on every new iPhone, iPad and MacBook sold.
The app is a personalised home for games and playing with friends.
It has five sections: Home, Apple Arcade, Play Together, Library and Search.
The Home section shows recently played and downloaded games and a list of the “top played games” which is different to the list of “most downloaded” games.
The Library section shows all games downloaded on one device and those available for re-download.
The Play Together section lets players play games with their friends and form groups to play.
It makes it really easy to play with them, in a few taps, and there is no limit to the number of people that can join together to play.
The app also helps seamlessly integrate and extend all of the social community features they’ve built directly into the centre of their player’s existing daily play routine.
The Apple Games app is available in Beta and you can sign up to test it today.
