Summary
Text-to-speech (TTS) innovator Rime has launched Arcana, a platform that generates voice likenesses with the help of large language models (LLMs) and a voice cloning tool.
Users can create voices with a range of accents, pitched at specific age and demographics, and even reflecting regional social factors such as socioeconomic status.
Rime collected voice data via its own voice recording studio and a global network of people who were enticed via social media and platforms like Craigslist.
The company is already working with brands including Domino’s, Wingstop and ConverseNow, powering more than 100 million calls per month and boosting customer sales by an average of 15%.
Rime’s technology offers on-premises solutions to improve response times and will be 90% on-premises by the end of 2025.
