Latent Technology raises $8M to change animation with generative physics

Summary
Latent Technology, a London-based game technology start-up that uses AI-driven physical animation, has completed an $8m seed funding round to scale its breakthrough animation technology.
The organisation uses Generative Physics Animation to enable characters to move in real-time in response to gamer and environmental interactions, thereby creating new avenues for player experiences.
The technology is currently in development and is built on Phoenix, a proprietary generative physics animation model.
The funding will help to further develop the Latent Behaviour Engine, which allows developers to create and deploy emergent behaviours based on generative physics in gaming.
An additional goal is to recruit more staff to double the six-person team by the end of the year.
