Summary
Voice and AI sound effects startup, ElevenLabs, has introduced an upgrade to its platform for building advanced voice agents for use in customer service, call centres, and marketing - Conversational AI 2.0.
The new version introduces a host of features, including a state-of-the-art turn-taking model and integrated language detection, designed to create more natural, intelligent and secure interactions, suitable for enterprise-level applications.
The platform has added functionality for multilingual support, an inbuilt Retrieval-Augmented Generation system and alternate personas, and retains ElevenLabs’ emphasis on compliance and enterprise-grade security.
The release follows the debut of ElevenLab’s original platform and the launch of a rival turn-based voice AI model from voice AI startup Hume, both of which occurred last month.
