Bitkraft doubles down on Web3 games with added leaders

Summary
Web3 games firm Bitkraft has bolstered its investment team with the appointments of Carlos Pereira and Jonathan Huang as general partner and partner respectively, while former Texas Teachers Investment Fund director Matt Halstead has joined as a venture partner.
Pereira said the company was “doubling down” on its Web3 gaming strategy as it believes it has an edge in the consumer applications that are increasingly leaning toward gamification and financialisation.
Blockchain-enabled digital rights are set to redefine gaming, creator monetisation and digital experiences, he argued.
Huang brings a decade of experience in Web2 and Web3 investments out of Asia, while Halstead has a track record in both traditional asset management and Web3.
Bitkraft has already backed companies including Immutable, Eve Frontier, Karate Combat and Mira.
