FLUX.1 Kontext enables in-context image generation for enterprise AI pipelines

Black Forest Labs (BFL), the company created by the team behind the popular Stable Diffusion AI model, has launched FLUX.1 Kontext, a next-generation image generation model that can also edit and modify images using both text and other images.
Two versions of the model are currently available on several third-party platforms including KreaAI, Freepik, Lightricks, OpenArt and LeonardoAI, with a third, FLUX.1 Kontext [dev] available on a private beta.
The pro version allows users to input text and reference images to make edits, while the max version is a more rapid option that adheres more closely to prompts and is consistent in its editing.
All three models are context-aware, with the company stating that they can compete with other models in terms of realism, following prompts, and typography.
BFL also introduced BFL Playground, where users can experiment with BFL’s models before using them in an enterprise setting.
The company believes its models have advanced the technology behind flow models, stating that, “unlike previous flow models that only allow for pure text-based generation, FLUX.
