Elden Ring’s live-action adaptation secures Alex Garland as director

Summary
Bandai Namco and film company A24 have chosen Alex Garland to write and direct an adaptation of the video game Elden Ring.
Garland was also a writer on the game Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and has written and directed such films as 28 Days Later, Sunshine, Ex Machina and Civil War.
Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich and George R. R. Martin will produce the film, with Martin also contributing to the original story concepts.
This is one of several video games being adapted for film, with others including Split Fiction, OutRun, Gears of War and BioShock also in development.
