Summary
Nex is taking on Nintendo with its motion-sensing game console, Nex Playground, now being backed with an exclusive title, How to Train Your Dragon: Riders of the Skies.
The game will allow players to fly and shoot fireballs using just their body motions and is designed for families with children, with some 40 titles available.
Following the launch of similar titles DreamWorks Kung Fu Panda: Train Like a Master and Gabby’s Dollhouse: A-meow-zing Moves, Nex has now sold more than 200,000 units since its launch in early 2024.
The newly released title is planned as a precursor to Universal Pictures’ How to Train Your Dragon film release in June.
Tom Kang, president of Nex, said the company is interested in “innovation” and producing equipment for currently underserved markets.
