Summary
Streaming platforms are looking to compete with YouTuber MrBeast by signing other popular content creators to their platforms.
Dude Perfect and ex-NASA engineer Mark Rober are in talks with Netflix, while Amazon is thought to be a good fit for Rober as the company is more accepting of sales promotions.
Netflix has previously made deals with YouTubers, such as its 2016 arrangement with Colleen Ballinger Evans, aka Miranda Sings.
The streaming giant also hosted a live-streamed boxing match between YouTuber Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, and struck a deal with Ms. Rachel, whose content focuses on educational programming for children.
Amazon recently made at least $100m in profit from MrBeast’s Beast Games, and is working on two further seasons of the show.
