Amazon Prime has bought the rights to stream the latest Gundam franchise, Gundam GQuuuuuuX, in over 240 countries from 8 April, at the same time as its Japanese TV launch.
The show, produced by Khara, directed by Kazyua Tsurumaki and co-written by Hideaki Anno and Yōji Enokido, marks Amazon’s continued move into Japanese anime content.
Tsurumaki, who previously directed the FLCL anime, said he was “truly delighted” to be able to present the new title to a global audience, hoping that “audiences around the world will watch and enjoy it.”
Amazon recently acquired other popular animé shows like Fujimoto’s Look Back and Khara’s Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time.
