Summary
On the sidelines of every NFL game, you’ll spot plenty of Microsoft Surface tablets, used to analyse play and player performance.
Now, these are set to get even more intelligent, after Microsoft announced it is extending its partnership with the NFL to add AI functionality via its Copilot software.
The software will sort and filter plays and data for analysts and coaches, with the selection of plays to be called during a game based on each particular situation.
More broadly, the organisations say they intend to use AI to analyse the performance of NFL draft prospects, provide data-driven insights to clubs, and improve productivity across various business functions.
