Bungie CEO Pete Parsons is stepping down from his role after just over ten years with the company.
Parsons will be replaced by long-serving Bungie developer Justin Truman, who currently holds the position of chief development officer.
Bungie was purchased by Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2022 for $3.6bn, and has faced multiple controversies in the past year, including mass layoffs and artist plagiarism.
Bungie’s live multiplayer shooter game Destiny, as well as its upcoming title Marathon, are currently in development.
The company will hope to avoid the recent controversy that has surrounded its parent company, Sony, including calls for Sony CEO Jim Ryan to resign.
