Summary
Google is rolling out its AI-driven search tool, AI Mode, across 180 countries and territories, enabling users to seek information via a chatbot-style interface.
Currently English-only, the tool can handle complex search queries and has been upgraded to include an ‘agentic’ booking feature for restaurant reservations.
This allows users to specify date, time, location and party size and the mode will search buffet reservation platforms for suitable options.
In the US, Google is also making AI Mode more personalised, generating search results based on a user’s past searches and interactions.
Lastly, users in the US can also now share search results with other people.
