Hertz has partnered with Amazon to sell its rental cars online through the retail group’s Amazon Autos service.
Customers in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and Seattle can now purchase ex-rental cars via the scheme, with the aim to expand the offer nationally across the US.
The vehicles listed on Amazon will also be available to view and collect at a local Hertz car sales branch.
Amazon initially launched its Amazon Autos service in December last year, allowing customers to browse and purchase certified pre-owned Hyundai models via select dealerships, this is the first time it is offering rentals cars for sale and from a variety of different car brands.
