Within Google Docs, the new ‘Audio’ tool allows users to create and listen to audio versions of their documents utilising AI technology.
Once activated, listeners can select between a variety of different voices and playback speeds.
The feature is not just restricted to the creator of the document, with readers also able to access the audio version by selecting ‘Audio’ in the Tools dropdown.
Both users and readers can also embed a custom audio button within the document for easy access.
The new tool is being rolled out to Google Workspace users, as well as those with AI Pro and Ultra plans, and is currently only available in English.
