During its 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), various Android features were evident in Apple’s iOS announcements, according to TechCrunch.
Examples included call screening and hold assist, live language translation, suggested actions based on screenshots, and tabbing between photo and video recording in the camera app, all of which are already available on Android devices.
At the same time, Apple’s new design Liquid Glass language was highlighted, as was its System Extensibility, which will allow developers to create menus, search bars, and other UI items that are embedded within other apps, a feature already available on Android devices.
The piece concluded that “Apple announcing Android features years after Google shipped them is a tale as old as time”.
