Instagram is working on a number of new features to help users express themselves, including making it easier to share music tastes.
A new partnership with Spotify will allow users to share what they are listening to in real time via their Instagram Stories.
This could provide another location for Meta to place its “Add to Spotify” buttons, part of a partnership announced last year.
Furthermore, following a test with some creators, Instagram users can now post to Reels without it being pushed out to followers, allowing creators to test their videos on new audiences first.
-IG is also making it possible to rearrange profile grids so users can choose what content followers see first, a capability Instagram boss Adam Mosseri previously teased in January.
These launches are part of a campaign to inspire user creativity and reduce the pressure to share content, with Meta hoping it will encourage use of the Reels feature.
