Summary
Samsung has updated its smart fridges to include multi-voice recognition, allowing the device to provide personalised information based on the voice of the user via its Bixby assistant.
It can display a user’s calendar or photo gallery and even activate an alarm on a phone simply using voice commands.
The new feature can also work with the phone of a person who is hard of vision, adjusting the fridge display to match their phone settings.
Bixby can also now be activated by double-tapping the fridge’s screen, in addition to the previous options of tapping the icon or using a voice command.
The updates have been rolled out to Samsung’s Bespoke AI fridges with Family Hub displays, starting with the 2025 models, with other appliances with smaller AI Home displays to follow.
