Huawei’s latest phone fits two telephoto lenses into one camera

Summary
Chinese tech firm Huawei has launched a range of Pura 80 flagship phones in China, with the top-of-the-range Ultra featuring a “switchable” dual-lens telephoto camera.
The two zoom lenses share the same image sensor, with a movable prism directing light from the chosen lens.
This could potentially save on manufacturing costs and also allows for a slimmer handset, whilst also accommodating a larger sensor, which is better for low light images.
The Ultra launched alongside the Pura 80, 80 Pro and 80 Pro Plus, all of which have similar designs.
The Pro and Pro Plus models have a single 48-megapixel telephoto lens, whilst the regular Pura 80 is yet to be priced.
