Apple’s upcoming WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) in June hasn’t generated the same level of interest as previous years, with the company facing a series of setbacks and misfortunes in recent months.
Apple’s new iPhone, the Vision Pro, is reportedly not selling well and the company has had to cut production.
There were high hopes for Apple’s AI announcements at WWDC last year, however, these features have yet to materialise and when they do they will likely be far from ground-breaking.
The court-ordered ruling that Apple must allow developers to include links in apps for purchases outside of the Apple App Store could eat into the company’s profits.
It is hoped that Apple will use the conference to regain momentum and confidence from developers and attendees, rather than trying to draw attention away from these setbacks.
