Summary
Next week at its WWDC, Apple is expected to detail a range of updates to its apps, including its Phone, Camera and Safari apps, according to a Bloomberg report.
The new Phone app will feature a scrolling window for favourite contacts, recent calls and voicemails, which can be switched back to the original layout with an in-app toggle.
Safari is set to have a more transparent and ‘glassy’ address bar in line with the ‘digital glass’ elements expected to be rolled out across Apple’s operating systems.
Further changes are expected to include the expansion of the Mac Preview app to iPadOS and iOS, the addition of polls to Messages and support for synced background images.
However, as Bloomberg notes, Apple is not expected to change the shape of its app icons.
