Payment companies team up to help developers ditch App Store billing

Summary
Paddle, an in-app payment system provider, and the RevenueCat subscription platform have integrated to help app developers better monetise their offerings outside of Apple’s app store.
The partnership will help developers unify subscription payments across web and mobile without having to develop their own solutions.
The move follows the Epic Games v Apple ruling in April that saw the tech giant prevented from collecting fees on purchases made outside of its app store in the US.
However, the ruling placed the onus on developers to manage complexities such as tax compliance and cross-platform support, which the new partnership will seek to address.
RevenueCat provides an analytics dashboard, while Paddle will handle payments, tax and compliance on the web.
