Wyze has launched what it claims is the world’s first camera within a lightbulb, enabling users to combine smart lighting and security in one fixture.
The Wyze Bulb Cam is a 2K camera with a 160-degree field of view, as well as colour night vision and two-way audio capabilities.
It is powered by a light fixture, removing the need for power cables, batteries or solar panels, and is accompanied by a smart lightbulb that pairs via Bluetooth.
The camera also includes descriptive alerts that summarise motion events and cut down on notifications, as well as NBD (no big deal) filtering.
Wyze’s bulb is activated by motion and can be set on a timer or schedule, doing away with the need for a light switch.
The camera costs 49.98,withtheaccessorybulbavailablefor16.98, and both are available from Wyze’s website.
