Nvidia’s Arm-powered gaming laptop could launch later this year with Alienware

Summary
Nvidia is rumoured to be releasing an Arm-based PC chip in partnership with MediaTek in 2026, which may first appear in Alienware laptops this year.
The new chip would combine an Arm-based CPU with Nvidia’s Blackwell GPU architecture.
It is likely that this new chip will improve the Windows on Arm gaming situation, as current Windows on Arm gaming laptops, which use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chips, have to emulate games using Microsoft’s Prism software, which has poor compatibility and limited performance.
Rumours of Nvidia’s plans to create an Arm-based chip first arose in 2023, and in January this year, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang revealed that the company had installed an Arm-based CPU in its Digits personal AI supercomputer.
Other reports have also suggested that MediaTek and AMD are both developing Arm-based chips for laptops.
