Elon Musk sure does want everyone to think he’s leaving politics

Elon Musk will no longer be a member of the US government’s “dogecoin secret team” as of the end of May, and in recent interviews he has been keen to emphasise that he is finished with politics.
As previously reported, he has clashed with officials in the Trump administration and now it would appear that he has decided to leave the government before his 130-day limit was up, perhaps because of the looming trade war with China.
Musk has also been quick to emphasise his renewed commitment to his business interests, notably his troubled electric car company Tesla, which he claimed last week he intends to lead for the next five years.
Last week Musk also returned to SpaceX in time for this week’s Starship launch, which he hailed as an “ultra hardcore” bid to reach Mars.
