Summary
Apple has released a new feature in its Logic Pro update, available on both Mac and iPad, which allows users to retrieve audio recordings that were not recorded at the time.
“Flashback Capture” lets users save recordings retroactively by pressing a capture button.
The feature works for both MIDI and traditional audio recordings and can even save separate takes during looped sections of a track.
Additionally, Apple has upgraded the audio quality of its “Stem Splitter” tool, which separates musical instruments into different tracks, and added new sound packs, including guitar tracks recorded by Tosin Abasi of the band Animals as Leaders.
Abasi commented that “Apple quietly reinvented home studio recording” with its stem separation feature.
