Summary
Neon is Opera’s fifth browser and uses artificial intelligence (AI) agents to allow users to access the internet more efficiently.
Described by Opera as an “agentic browser”, Neon has an in-built AI engine that can understand and interpret requests from users, who can use a chatbot interface to search the internet, as well as obtain information from web pages.
Neon users can also automate routine web tasks such as online shopping and filling in forms through Opera’s AI Agent tool, Browser Operator, which was introduced in March.
While the Norwegian company hasn’t disclosed a price or launch date, its latest browser is being marketed as a “premium subscription service”.
Users who want to try Neon can sign up for the waiting list via the browser’s website.
