Summary
Samsung has launched the beta test for One UI 8, available on the Galaxy S25, Plus, and Ultra models, but not on the S25 Edge.
The beta is aimed at testing the new Android 16 software on these smartphone models before the launch of the company’s new foldable devices this summer.
The new One UI 8 includes AI features, including improved personalisation and speed, optimised for the different form factors of the Galaxy range.
The update also features new split-screen functionality to allow users to partially move an app off the screen while they focus on another app, similar to multitasking tools seen on OnePlus phones.
It also includes updates to Samsung’s Reminder app, a simpler interface for Quick Share, and Android 16’s support for Auracast for hearing aid and earbud connectivity.
