Pocket, a popular bookmarking tool owned by Mozilla, which allows users to save articles and web pages to read later, is to close on 8 July 2025.
Users will have until 8 October 2025 to export any saved content, after which Mozilla will permanently delete user data.
Subscribers to the annual plan will receive prorated refunds.
The Pocket web extension and app were removed from the Mozilla Store on 22 May 2025, but existing users will still be able to download it until 8 October.
Pocket, originally Read It Later, was popular with users for keeping track of articles, recipes and videos.
Mozilla also owned Fakespot, a fake reviews detector, but it is also closing due to a lack of sustainability.
