The GPU is designed to compete with Nvidia’s recently released RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti; both AMD and Nvidia’s GPU choices have been criticised for their 8GB of VRAM, despite this being sufficient for most modern games.
Reviews of the new Nvidia RTX 5060 began appearing yesterday, 21 May, but Nvidia had reportedly prevented reviewers from testing the card prior to its release.
It is believed the company is concerned about negative feedback concerning the amount of VRAM.
Furthermore, PC gaming YouTuber Gamers Nexus has claimed in a recent video that Nvidia applied pressure on it, and other channels, to include a feature called Multi Frame Generation in benchmarks, or risk being cut off from interviews with Nvidia engineers.
