Google has announced it is expanding its Gemini AIassistant to its Chrome browser in an effort to improve user experience.
The AI will initially allow users to clarify and summarise complex information on any webpage.
It will subsequently be able to work across multiple pages and even navigate websites on a user’s behalf.
The tool will be available on Windows and macOS to adults who use English as their primary language and are over 18 years of age; it will only be accessible to those who subscribe to Google’s AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions, as well as users of Chrome’s beta, canary and dev channels.
There are no current plans to bring the tool to mobile Chrome.
