IBM has announced plans to develop the world’s first error-corrected quantum computer, aiming forlarge-scale availability by 2028-2029.
The quantum computer, named Starling, will be made up of a series of chip-containing modules, which will be housed in a new data centre in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The Pentagon is gutting the team that tests AI and weapons systems, under the current conservative administration.
The Office of the Director of Operational Test and Evaluation’s staff is being reduced to around 45, down from 94, with its director being replaced.
This comes as anti-vaccine advocate Robert F Kennedy Jr has fired an entire CDC panel of vaccine experts, accusing them of conflicts of interest.
