I Can't Believe More Smartphone's Don't Have Samsung's New Tap to Transfer

Summary
Samsung has added a tap to transfer feature to its Samsung Wallet which allows users to send money to friends via their mobile wallet without the need for different apps.
It works with any digital wallet as it uses NFC to connect to a debit card in a recipient’s wallet app, or it can transfer funds to a physical card with tap-to-pay capabilities.
This feature is rolling out in May 2025 and requires a contactless and payments transaction-enabled Mastercard or Visa debit card from an American bank.
It is not yet clear which banks will be participating in this feature.
Security issues remain a concern with digital wallets, although they are generally safe to use contactless payment methods do leave users open to eavesdropping and man-in-the-middle attacks.
