Summary
Microsoft is to add two new Copilot features to the latest Windows Insider Update, which is only accessible to US users.
The first improvement will allow Copilot to search through all files access to everything saved on a PC, whilst still allowing users to control permissions.
The AI will be able to search for and read files including .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .txt, .pdf, and .json.
This will enable users to ask questions or give commands relating to file search and organisation.
The second new feature, called Copilot Vision, will enable the AI to see what the user sees in their browser or app window, and provide insights or explanations.
Users can turn on Copilot Vision and select which app they want it to see, and end sharing their screen with Copilot at any time.
