Summary
Google Photos offers many features for finding, editing and sharing photos and videos, most of which are not widely known by users
Creating shared albums is simple, just select the people you wish to have access and Google Photos will generate a QR code for the album that can be shared in a text, group chat or via social media
The search function is incredibly powerful, and images can be searched by the faces in them, the places they were taken or by entering keywords for the content that matches the search terms, such as beach, mountains or birthday party
The app has Maps integration so memories can be seen on a map with each photo geotagged to a specific location
Google Lens can provide contextual information based on the contents of the photo, such as translating text or identifying locations and landmarks
The app has a Collage and Animation option for creating GIFs and merging photos taken at the same event and a Cinematic Photo feature that uses AI to create a dynamic, almost lifelike image from a still photo
