Android 16 Has Arrived: Here's What I Think So Far

The new Android 16 focuses on smaller quality of life changes than big features, says tech reviewer, Jacob Y.
The largest changes seen so far include the Advanced Protection feature, which offers an upgraded security system, and a new Battery Health feature, available on Pixels 8a and newer.
Additionally, device customisation options have had slight tweaks and there are also new notification features, including Live Updates, which is similar to the feature on iPhones called Live Activities that shows real-time progress on apps such as food delivery or ride-hailing apps.
Future changes coming to Android 16 over the rest of the year include a new window experience similar to a desktop OS and a larger redesign including changes to notifications, wallpapers and the app drawer.
This will be part of the Material 3 Expressive redesign.
