There is no official Google Authenticator app for desktop platforms, however, there are several alternatives that can be used to add two-factor authentication (2FA) to a Google account from a Windows PC.
Some tips for using Google Authenticator on a Windows PC include setting up accounts on both devices at the same time and screenshoting the QR code or key given during the setup process in order to easily enter the details into the authenticator app on a desktop or browser.
Furthermore, keeping screenshots of the codes as a backup is recommended, however, for security reasons it is best to store them on a USB drive or external hard drive rather than on a mobile phone.
