In iOS 17, Apple introduced a feature known as Standby Mode which displays information such as the time, weather and upcoming calendar events on an iPhone’s locked screen when it’s charging.
Android doesn’t have an identical feature, though it does offer a range of alternatives.
The first is to use Android’s built-in Screen Saver feature, which can be enabled by going to Settings > Display & Touch > Screen Saver > Use Screen Saver.
The second is to use the Always On Display feature, which can be enabled by going to Settings > Display & Touch > Lock Screen > Always On Display > Always Show Time and Info.
Thirdly, there are a variety of third-party apps which can provide a similar function, such as StandBy Mode Pro, StandBy Mode Always On Display and Widget Screensaver.
These apps allow the user to select which information they would like to see on their lock screen and in some cases, when this screen should appear.
