After BlackSuit is taken down, new ransomware group Chaos emerges

Summary
A new ransomware group, Chaos, has emerged and is recruiting former members of disbanded groups, including DarkSide, REvil and BlackMatter.
US cybersecurity researchers say the group has targeted large companies, mainly in the US, UK, India and New Zealand, and has demanded ransoms of up to $300,000.
The group claims that, once paid, it will provide details of the vulnerabilities it has found in a victim’s network as well as deleting all stolen data; however, there is no guarantee that the encrypted data will be released.
This development comes just days after Operation CheckMate successfully took down the dark web site of BlackSuit, another ransomware group responsible for extorting $500m from its victims.
