Sigma BF review: the perfect camera for a minimalist
1 min read
Summary
The Sigma BF camera is missing a lot of features expected in a $2,000 camera, such as a tilt or flip-out screen, hot or cold shoe, a viewfinder, 4k 60, microphone port, in-body stabilization or a link to connect a shoulder strap.
It does, however, take great images, has a gorgeous design, and is very fast.
The body is minimalistic and made from a single block of aluminium, meaning it is nice to look at but not very comfortable to use.
It does have a lot of easy-to-use controls, such as a single dial on the back, which is paired with a small pill-shaped screen and makes changing settings on the fly a breeze.
The usability features are what makes this camera so great as it is very quick, taking photos is fun, and theBF’s auto focus is also impressive.
Video is an afterthought, so it is not a great option for that, but the photos it takes are excellent.
It might not be for everyone, and the price tag is hefty, but the Sigma BF is an impressive camera with some unique features.
