Summary

  • The Sigma BF camera is missing a lot of features expected in a $2,000 camera, such as a tilt or flip-out screen, hot or cold shoe, a viewfinder, 4k 60, microphone port, in-body stabilization or a link to connect a shoulder strap.
  • It does, however, take great images, has a gorgeous design, and is very fast.
  • The body is minimalistic and made from a single block of aluminium, meaning it is nice to look at but not very comfortable to use.
  • It does have a lot of easy-to-use controls, such as a single dial on the back, which is paired with a small pill-shaped screen and makes changing settings on the fly a breeze.
  • The usability features are what makes this camera so great as it is very quick, taking photos is fun, and theBF’s auto focus is also impressive.
  • Video is an afterthought, so it is not a great option for that, but the photos it takes are excellent.
  • It might not be for everyone, and the price tag is hefty, but the Sigma BF is an impressive camera with some unique features.
