Summary
Zero Zero Robotics has announced a new model in its HoverAir range of drones, the Aqua, which is designed to float, take off and land on water rather than a user’s hand.
The new IP67-rated drone is the company’s first to be completely waterproof and can be used to capture kayaking and other water-based activities.
It weighs less than 249g, meaning it does not need to be registered with aviation authorities such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the US.
The Aqua can capture 4k/100fps video using a 1/1.3-inch sensor, as well as slow-motion footage, through a hydrophobic, self-heating lens.
It features a built-in 1.6-inch AMOLED screen, to view live feeds or to review footage, and has 128GB of built-in storage.
The Aqua is now available for pre-order via Indiegogo, with early bird pricing starting at $999.
